Moses Lake is a small but strong community where children can forge lifelong friendships and engage in a variety of activities. From gymnastics and dance to outdoor sports and horseback riding, local communities embrace the family atmosphere and provide a wide variety of programs to engage children as they grow.
Thanks to community minded classroom environments and dedication to individual students, the Moses Lake School District is on track to meet its ambitious vision of bringing every student to state benchmark standards to be college and career ready. All 14 of the local schools are well maintained and reflect the wholesome environment of Moses Lake’s citizenry. Modern facilities like Frontier Middle School in the heart of downtown offer a wide range of extracurricular activities for students to be involved in and keep them engaged in positive, productive and fun activities. Moses Lake also offers workforce training for manufacturing and aerospace jobs through Big Bend Community College at the Port. The college enrolls over 4,000 a year, over 1,300 of which are receiving professional and technical degrees.

PARKS AND ACTIVITIES
Moses Lake maintains several public parks boasting free outdoor summer concerts, movies, and other community events. The parks feature organized volleyball courts and tournaments along with other sports and greenway trails beside the river and lake. Children can enjoy the water park in the center of town. Moses Lake is also a hotspot for golf, motorcyclists and wineries.
THE GORGE
The Gorge Amphitheater is one of the most scenic concert venues in the United States. Audience members can relax on an expansive sloping lawn overlooking the Columbia Gorge Canyon while listening to some of the top performers in today’s music industry.
MISSION RIDGE
Mission Ridge is known throughout Washington as one of the best resorts for excellent snow conditions in the state. Skiers and snowboarders alike celebrate the resort’s abundant days of sun shine and fresh powder. Nearby cities Lake Chelan, Leavenworth and Wenatchee provide visitors with a beautiful winter getaway.
LAKES AND RIVERS
During the summer, Moses Lake and Banks Lake draw large numbers of boaters and kayakers from around the state. With the famed sand dunes in Moses Lake and the state’s top-rated snowmobile terrain a short distance away in Chelan, the outdoors is a year-round adventure for residents of Moses Lake.
GRAND COULEE
What better way to experience the true power of hydroelectricity than a day trip to Grand Coulee Dam. Visitors can view historical photos of the dam, take a tour, or spend an evening witnessing the spectacular Laser Light Show projected on the dam wall.
FISHING/HUNTING
Over one hundred lakes and nearby fishing areas provide weekend activities and opportunities for exploration of beautiful central Washington.
VANTAGE
Vantage is home to the popular outdoor climbing spot Echo Basin, a unique basalt rock formation with over 400 routes for beginning and experienced climbers. Take a trip back in time on a hike through the Gingko Petrified Forest State Park in Vantage for a more relaxing, but equally beautiful geographical wonder.

Moses Lake is only a short drive from either side of Washington State, with the major cities of Spokane to the east and Seattle to the west.
