The Grant County International Airport has a 24 hour Aircraft Rescue Firefighting (ARFF) service that is on call for aircraft emergencies. ARFF services are currently provided by Rural Metro, under contract by the Port of Moses Lake. This particular type of service is dictated by the Federal Aviation Regulations Part 139, and requires constant training to keep the required certifications. Some of the training includes ARFF live burn, aircraft familiarization and vehicle operation.
