GRANT COUNTY INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT IDENTIFICATION BADGE APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
Badge Appointment Scheduling
Anyone needing an airport badge should schedule an appointment by calling (509) 762-5363, and asking for the Port Security Manager. Badges must be obtained prior to gaining unescorted access to the airport.
Badge Process
In the wake of the events that took place on September 11th, 2001 the Department of Homeland Security has continually updated their policies. A few of those changes affect how unescorted access to airports is granted, as well as who can obtain that access. The information below will help you get through the steps to obtain a Grant County International Airport ID.
- First your company must have a signatory on file with the Grant County International Airport. (This person has been through a training provided by the Security Office.)
- Any person that requires access to perform their job on the airfield must first contact their company's signatory. The company's signatory will verify that you need access to the airport.
- You or your signatory must get the application and badge fee to the Port of Moses Lake Security Office. (For the current badge fees click here.)
- Upon submission, your information will be submitted for a federal background check.
- When the Security Office receives your security clearance, they will call you or your signatory to schedule a training class, and issue a badge at the completion of the training class.
What to Bring to the Security Office:
1. Please fill out the following application. Section 1 and the Criminal History Check should be filled out by the applicant and Section 2 by the Authorized Signatory, if applicable. Non-business tenants (hangar owners, etc.) fill out only Section 1.
2. Please make sure to bring your completed form with you to the Port Security Manager. Please make sure copies are double sided (if you are able to). ONLY ORIGINAL APPLICATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED. It is also recommended that you keep a copy for your own records.
3. Please bring 2 forms of approved identification (see attached Review of Eligibility and Identity Verification). In order to expedite the process, all persons born outside of the United States must provide one of the required forms of identification listed in Section A and photo identification.
4. Bring completed application and original supporting documentation to the Port Security Manager. At this time you can register for the next available badge class and have your photo taken.
